July 12, 1993 attack site, revisited

American Cobra helicopters and army Rangers launched a savage assault on July 12, 1993, on a gathering of at least 100 unarmed clan leaders, intellectuals, religious figures and journalists in downtown Mogadishu, destroying the building with missiles and cannon fire... the usual barbaric stuff..
Four Reuters and AP employees were stabbed to death as they arrived at the scene.
